Mud Masking For Every Skin Type
So I have mentioned a couple times that we brought on our first contributor to the site!!! Her name is Amy and she knows everything there is to know about beauty. She knows all the best of the best so I knew I wanted her to be the first! This post she wrote and hope you guys love! I love facial masking. So much so, that I make a full ritual of it! It usually involves a double facial cleanse, a light exfoliation, followed by a moisturizing or tightening mask, which is then followed by an evening soak in the tub (candles lit, always), or a Netflix binge (popcorn and peanut M&M?s in hand). Ritual, guys. I adore this ritual. I love the delivery system of masks! Your favorite active skin ingredients being able to sit on your skin and absorbing deeply over the course of your masking session. I love cream masks, exfoliating masks, under-eye collagen masks, lip plumping masks, K-beauty sheet masks ? but one mask I have always avoided was a mud mask. My already dry skin craves moisture in the biggest way and I just assumed all that drying mud and clay would only worsen the issue. Wrong, Sis. Wrong. Because here?s the thing, mud masks usually contain some type of clay in them. Which seems like it would dry you out, though, that isn’t the case.
