Robin’s Take: Across Sands is part of the Replica (Reproduction of Familiar Fantasies) perfume series by Maison Margiela. At first sniff, it delivers on it?s Lawrence of Arabia promise and brings to mind warm desert winds, exotic bazaars and a touch of oud. The oud is surprisingly subtle, somehow made smooth by the sweetness of dates and dry spices. And although the composition seems like it would be quite intense and earthy, on my skin it drys down into an airy celebration of slightly sweet, dried spices with the faintest echoes of agarwood.
