Today is International Women's Day, to mark the occasion and with purpose L'Occitane have launched their annual solidarity product - L'Occitane Women's Day Solidarity Ultra-Soft Balm. Each year on March the 8th L'Occitane launch a product in which has been created to support women within developing countries.

Over the last 30 or so years, L'Occitane and the women of Burkina Faso have built a close bond with the The L'Occitane Foundation providing finical support as well as aid for vital literacy, education and micro-credit programmes, as well as producing the shea butter used in L'Occitaine product collections. What was once a partnership with a mere 12 local women, is now an enterprise with over 17,000 women, all whom produce the versatile ingredient. L?Occitane support these women by donating 100% of profits from the Solidarity Ultra-Soft Balm to fund special projects, and to keep the foundation going strong.
