It seems that I’m writing a lot about what’s available at QVC Beauty at the moment but it really has become one of the best places for the newest and great value beauty purchases. Jay Manuel Beauty is the latest makeup brand to land there and it includes some lovely and interesting products.
It’s very likely the name, Jay Manuel, will be familiar and that’s because Jay used to be on the panel of America’s Next Top Model. He’s also a long standing makeup artist and a fashion/beauty expert who’s often called up to give his opinion on and off screen. I met him recently and he’s absolutely lovely and had a great attitude towards beauty.
There’s an app (look up Jay Manuel Beauty) where you take a selfie and it steers you to the shades that would be good for you in each of his three collections – Classic, Iconic and Avant Garde. I don’t think it’s hugely insightful of me to point out that we’re going to be seeing a lot more beauty brands launching apps similar to this one. I’ve had a play with a few of the products and the standout ones for me are the Ultimate Lipstick in Siren (which unfortunately isn’t available at QVC at the mo), the Everything Mascara which elongates lashes and makes them super defined and the Soft Focus Powder Blush in Escape (which again I can’t currently see listed).
