How to Take Extra Care of Your Skin at Home
Steam Your Skin
I absolutely love steaming my skin! It?s been a total game changer, especially now that I have more time to do it. Steaming your skin opens up your pores, allowing the skin to really absorb products at deeper levels. So your toner, serums, and oils will penetrate well beyond the surface and your skin gets all of the benefits. I like to cleanse with the Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser right before I use my steamer. You should always steam your skin after cleansing and exfoliating, but before any masks, serums, oils, or moisturizers. If you don?t have a steaming tool, you can still do so by boiling some water on your stove and standing over the heat it produces (once the stove is turned off of course).
Mask It Up
I?ve been masking more than ever as we practice social distancing. I?ve always been a huge fan of masks, and of course we started Summer Fridays with masks. During this time I?ve used our Overtime and R+R masks more often because I?m really trying to treat my skin and rejuvenate it. Both these masks target my biggest skincare concerns and help even out my skin?s tone and texture.
Boost Moisture
Keeping your skin extra moisturized and hydrated is super important, and I?m taking advantage of the time I have to let my skin soak it all up.
