It?s easy to want to wear your hair up and get your strands away from your face. But we encourage you to take a step back from the basic pony and try this variation for some added length and style.

BEFORE
Start on dry strands from the day before?hair that was previously curled or styled works great.

STEP 1
Separate hair into two sections: one on top and one below the ears. Clip the top section away.

STEP 2
Working on the bottom section, use a small amount of hair oil (we suggest Oribe Gold Lust) to gather hair into a pony.

Use a comb to smooth and gather hair.

Secure strands with a BLAX hair elastic.
STEP 5
Unclip the top section, then reclip a horseshoe-shaped section from the outside of each eyebrow to the crown of the head, leaving out a section of hair below. Mane Addicts

Secure your middle section of hair with a hair bungee, repeating the steps above.

STEP 7
Unclip the last section of hair and spray dry texture spray on the roots to create grit and volume for teasing.

Beginning at the back of your section and working your way forward, tease 1-inch sections of hair to create volume.

Pull hair back, using French pins to secure near your top ponytail.
