How I Prepare for a Long Flight
The more I travel, the more I get used to being on planes for long periods of times?but, it wasn’t always this way. Long flights are hard! No matter how you put it, sitting on a plane for hours isn’t the most ideal way to spend our time, even if there’s a beautiful destination on the other end of the flight. I recently flew to Australia for some Summer Fridays work with Lauren and the team, and the travel was long but so worth it, of course.
At this point in my career, long flights have become more manageable, so I wanted to share some tips with you guys for the next time (or first time!) you find yourselves heading overseas. Keep on reading for more details on how I prepare for long-haul flights.
Stay Hydrated
For those in the 21 and over club, we’re all a little guilty of wanting a pre-travel glass of wine or cocktail here and there. Sadly, it doesn’t always work in our favor, especially if we’re in for a long flight. Stay hydrated and avoid alcohol if you know you’re going to be traveling for quite some time. Be sure to bring a bottle of water with you on your flight, and get some h2O from the flight team while in the air. Traveling is already dehydrating as it is due to cabin pressure, so we want to make our bodies do less work and stay hydrated from the inside out if possible.
