A perfect face shape would be oval, with a delicate but sharp nose, chiseled jaw line and high cheekbones. But most of us have a unique face structure of our own! With makeup, we try to enhance what we have to the best. Face contouring is a play of shadows and highlight. Here’s a simple way to do it yourself.

Step 1:

Prep your face with a moisturizer suited to your skin type. You can also use a prep cream if you have one, on top of that and wait for a few minutes.
Step 2:

Now use the right foundation for your skin and use a concealer to cover under eyes area.
Step 3:

Use a dark colored concealer to draw a line starting along the helix of ear (highest point of the ear), towards your lips, a line above eyebrows at temples, sides of jaw line (optional) and two lines on the nose, as shown in the picture. Step 4:

Use a lighter shade concealer on the cheekbones and the centre of forehead.
Step 5:

Blend these lines so that they no longer look sharp. Dab setting/compact powder of your skin tone all over the face.
Step 6:

Your make up is sealed and the shape of your face is changed to a more defined version. You are now ready to play with colors on your eyes and lips to complete the look.
