I’m always looking for new and creative ways to style day old curls. I don’t have time to do a full head of curls or waves every single day, so on my off days I like to experiment with different styles. For this Style Spotting video with Garnier, I’m doing my take on a messy textured pony. I always see this style on Instagram, Pinterest, and even on the runway. I start by spraying Garnier Full & Plush Root Amp Root Lifting Spray Mousse. This is a really fine mousse that gives you more volume in the roots and helps prep hair for waves, curls, or any style where you want added fullness. I spray this in my roots and work it in with my fingers to make the base of the ponytail. Next I spray Garnier De-Constructed Texture Tease on my ends. This spray adds texture and a piece-y look which will keep the ponytail from looking thin or limp. Just a light spray through my hair, focusing on the ends, is all I really need.
Now I create the ponytail. I like to put mine right above my ear but you can always go lower or higher. I use a thin elastic and wrap it around three times. You want it to be secure but not tight on your head. You should be able to easily pull out a few face-framing pieces with ease.

After you’ve got the ponytail going, spray a bit more of the Texture Tease for even more fullness. Bigger is better in this case! Now take a bit of hair from the underside o...
