I spent the weekend in Chapel Hill with my precious new niece, Eleanora, and was reminded not only of how absolutely perfect newborn babies are (especially when they are your sibling’s), but how miraculous it is that I could hop on a plane to go meet her in about three hours. With my friends and family spread out all over the country, and a natural wanderlust that gets worse the older I get, travel is a way of life. Sometimes I overdo it simply because I can fly to Korea and back in four days, but mostly I’m just grateful for how easy it is to stay connected with the people I love. Fittingly, MSP Airport’s On The Fly magazine recently asked about my travel rituals, from beauty essentials to my inflight beverage of choice. It turns out that I’ve developed a few habits over the years . . . one of which I wish was remembering to pack my pajamas.
