A good rule of thumb when it comes to gift giving is asking yourself, “Is this something I would want for myself"” I’m a firm believer in only gifting my friends and relatives with things that I myself would use and appreciate. Whether it’s a splurge or a stocking stuffer, thoughtfulness makes every gift even better.
On the flip side, my gift-giving strategy makes it incredibly easy for me to slip up and treat myself to a few beauty goodies. I did a mini haul over at Kohl’s but since it’s not quite the 25th, I won’t say what’s for me and what’s going under the tree.
I think shadow palettes make excellent gifts. With so many options, the recipient is bound to find a few shades they’ll love. The Lorac Unzipped palette is a mix of neutrals and shimmers and it comes with a tiny bottle of their shadow primer, there’s no beauty lover that wouldn’t adore this palette. (Including myself!) The Lorac TANtalizer Highlighter and Matte Bronzer Duo is another crowd pleaser with the pigmented formula doubling as a body shimmer or eyeshadow. The Bremenn Clinical Strength Dark Spot Eraser isn’t the most obvious choice as a gift, but I plan on gifting some of my friends with customized skincare based off concerns they’ve expressed to me.
