If you scroll down your Instagram feed, you’re bound to see a bunch of different teeth whitening ads. While so many of these products can give great results, they can get pricey and aren’t necessarily in everyone’s budget. Since we all want a beautiful, white smile, I’m breaking down some simpler ways to whiten your teeth right at home. These don’t involve any harsh chemicals or light treatment, and they won’t burn a hole in your pocket. Keep on reading for all of the details, as well as some of my favorite products down below.
Baking Soda
This old-school teeth whitening trick really gets the job done. Mix a few teaspoons of baking soda with water to create a paste-like substance. Apply it on your toothbrush and brush as usual. It’s best to do this before brushing your teeth with toothpaste because the aftertaste isn’t exactly the best. It’s ideal for you to buy a second toothbrush for this portion of your routine. Oil-Pulling
The oil-pulling trend came on the scene a few years ago, but it’s a much older practice. If you have 20 minutes on your hands, then this is a great method for you to try. Take a tablespoon of organic coconut oil, and swish it around your mouth for 20 minutes, and then proceed to brush your teeth as usual. It seems like a lot, but you can break it up into two 10 minute sessions. This method is also said to help with your overall oral hygiene.
Apple Cider Vinegar
