Skinceuticals is a brand I’ve used since it launched in the mid-nineties. I can’t quite remember when it first became available in the UK but I initially used to stock up on it during trips to NY. It was clearly so far ahead of a game compared to other brands available at that time and, to my mind, started the trend for clinical skincare. Twenty years on, it’s still very much a go-to brand for me as every product is a result of a huge amount of research and, as a consequence, they are very effective.
While there’s so many Skinceuticals products that I could happily recommend I’ve narrowed it down  to three of my current favourites…
C E Ferulic
This is my longest term skincare love and before C E Ferulic was available I used the original Skinceuticals  Vitamin C Serum. It’s recommended by pretty much every dermatologist and, along with sun protection, I credit it with the clear, even tone my skin has at 46 years of age. It’s primary job is as an anti-oxidant that protects against environmental damage. It acts as a line of defence against UV damage, neutralises free radicals, prevents cell damage and has anti-inflammatory properties.
It has a watery consistency and is the first product I apply to my skin every morning. It only needs to be applied once a day. It’s the most expensive product I use on a continual basis and the reason I stick with it is because it has a low pH of 3 which is needed to keep it stable a...
