10 Black And Indigenous-Owned Beauty Businesses To Support Now
A small step towards listening, learning and changing.
Almost two weeks ago, on Tuesday June 2, we witnessed the world come together in a show of solidarity for the Black Lives Matter movement. After several days of protests against police brutality, the #BlackOutTuesday posts called for us to stop, reflect, listen and switch on. Throughout the week that followed, Gritty Pretty paused all social and editorial content to make way for a long overdue conversation about racial inequality, white privilege and police brutality.
Today, we are bringing you a list of 10 Black and Indigenous-owned beauty businesses to support. Going forward, we commit to being better ? to showcasing more women of colour and diverse backgrounds, to making greater use of our platform to raise awareness for issues and to show women everywhere that they are beautiful, by way of equal representation (you can read our formal pledge for change, here). We’re learning, growing, adapting and listening to you, our readers.
